The camp counselor Leader Track (LT) weekend rolled in from February 28 to March 2, 2025, and this year, it was a double feature with the staff programming retreat! Why? To simplify travel for our fabulous staff (one weekend, less hassle) and to give our LT’s a chance to chime in on the Camp Quest Ohio 2025 planning! We had five LT members join us during the weekend, and we want to extend a special shoutout to Cara, who is stepping up as an adult staff member this year. Let’s also extend a heartfelt welcome to two new LT members who are joining us for the first time!
The agenda was packed with shared activities where LT’s and staff teamed up to brainstorm camp awesomeness. During small group chats, we dove deep into the LT program for Camp Quest Ohio 2025, discussing themes and sharing our goals. LTs were gathered during the Generative discussion on green flags and red flags in relationships to engage in a small group conversation with coordinators about the topics of grooming, relationships, and the transition from LT to staff.
But wait, there’s more! The LT’s received training for common camp scenarios and tackled a team-building marble challenge. To top it off, Saturday night featured a revamped LT ceremony that was all the feels.
Merging the LT weekend with the programming retreat was a total win! It was a fantastic way for Camp Quest Ohio to listen to the voices of our campers.
