Registration open for Grown-Up Camp Quest in Ohio

September 5–7, 2025 at Canter’s Cave, Ohio: Camp Quest Grown-Up Camp in Ohio! Join us this fall at Canter’s Cave for a weekend of classic camp fun, fresh air, and freethought (plus campfire karaoke and a humanist hootenanny).

Whether you’re a Camp Quest alum, volunteer, or just camp-curious, this is your chance to relive the magic — without a bedtime!

Details

Camp Quest for Grown-Ups is an adult community experience based on Camp Quest’s traditional summer camp model. All activities are voluntary but, in general, we believe enthusiastic participation produces the best experience.

Disconnecting to Connect

The weekend is intended to provide respite from screens and phones. An emergency contact will be provided for participants to give to their families in case they need to contact them. Attendees will be invited to participate in a ceremony to lock away their phones for the weekend. Those who do not participate are asked to keep their use of screens private.

Gala Dinner and Humanist Hootenanny

On Saturday night we will hold a Gala Dinner and Humanist Hootenanny from 6-9pm. The event will include opportunities for fundraising and is offered as a separately ticketed event to include those unable to commit to an entire weekend. Some folks who attend the event may stay the night and join us for breakfast the next day.

All registration and fundraising proceeds will be split between Camp Quest Ohio and Camp National.

Beverages (non-alcoholic)

Participants are welcome to bring personal non-alcoholic beverages. Water, coffee, and a limited selection of other drinks with meals will be available all weekend.

    • 5:00pm Campers arrive. Snacks and refreshments available.

    • 7:30pm Rules Skit, Phone Banishing

    • 8:00pm Games and Icebreakers

    • 9:30pm Opening Campfire

**Saturday**

    • 8:00am Yoga

    • 9:00am Breakfast

    • 10:00am Morning Circle

    • 10:30am Team Games

    • 12:00pm Nature Hike

    • 1:00pm Lunch

    • 2-3:30pm BOB (Back on Bunks, resting and free time)

    • 3:30pm Team Games

    • 4:30pm Program Rotation: Paint and Sip, Socrates Cafe

    • 6:00-9:00pm CQ 30th Anniversary Gala Dinner and Humanist Hootenanny

    • Silent auction

    • 9:00pm-? Night of Fun

**Sunday**

    • 8:00am Fishing

    • 9:00am Breakfast

    • 10:00am Team Games

    • 11:00am Team Games Awards Ceremony

    • 12:00pm Clean-up and Check-Out
